It is my pleasure to announce that the department of treasury had cleared the way to transfer $450,000.00 to BASMA in Syria for the benefit of children with cancer. This fund was collected during the fund-raising event in Washington DC in April 2008 which SAMS was the main sponsor.
The due diligent process was made possible by the combined efforts between SAMS and SAWA. The communication between SAMS and the department of treasury made the process smooth and effective.
This had proved again that humanitarian missions and support are possible and should not be discouraged as long as they follow the correct pathway.
