Dear SAMS:

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the very pleasant experience that I had when I did the observership rotation at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cardiothoracic anesthesia department from September to November 2008.

I especially enjoyed learning about the cardiac assistant devices. Plus, the opportunities to attend unique surgical operations like the robotic operation and other. Each patient provided me with a unique opportunity to expand my medical knowledge.

I can say with confidence that my experience in Cleveland clinic foundation was very wonderful and full of learning on many levels both educational and personal. Dr. A. Maher Adi in particular was a great mentor to me thru out this unforgettable experience; his dedication and compassion were exemplary, as were his attitude and kindness towards me.

I also would like to thank Dr. Rami Akhrass for his efforts to make this dream come true, he guided me all the way through this process and was a great help in starting my observership.  

Thank you again for offering me the chance to do this rotation. I am confident this experience will be a great benefit to my career and prepare me for the residency in USA. I hope that you continue your wonderful mission in supporting Syrian medical student in their effort to pursue a career in the United States.
