As we enter the last 10 nights of Ramadan, we invite you to bring hope and healing to the most vulnerable in Syria.
In Syria, childbirth should be a time of joy. But for too many mothers, it is a moment of uncertainty and fear. With hospitals still in ruins and medical care out of reach, expectant mothers are left vulnerable, wondering where they will turn when their time comes.
Fatima knows this fear all too well. Seven months pregnant, she arrived at SAMS’ supported health center in Kafr Lusin, suffering from pain and complications that could have threatened her and her baby. But she wasn’t alone. Our dedicated medical team in Syria immediately assessed her condition, ran necessary tests, and provided the care she needed, giving her relief, reassurance, and the promise of a safe delivery.
This is what your support makes possible. Through our Maternal & Child Health Program, we ensure that mothers like Fatima receive critical prenatal checkups, safe deliveries, emergency obstetric care, and postnatal support. Whether through mobile clinics reaching remote villages or fully equipped maternity hospitals, we are there so no mother has to give birth in fear.
This Ramadan, you have the power to bring hope and healing. By supporting maternal health, you’re not just saving lives, you’re helping to rebuild Syria’s future, one healthy birth at a time.
