Donation FAQs
1. How can I make a donation to your organization?
You can donate securely through our website using a credit/debit card, PayPal, or Venmo . We also accept bank transfers, checks, and recurring donations. To make a wire transfer, please email safaa.aladham@sams-usa.net
2. Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Our Tax ID is 16-1717058. A donation receipt will be sent to your email.
3. What percentage of my donation goes to helping those in need?
For every dollar donated in 2025, 91 cents went directly to programs.
4. Can I designate my donation to a specific program or cause?
Absolutely. During the donation process, you can select the project or fund you’d like your gift to support.
5. How do I set up a recurring monthly donation?
When donating online, select the option to make your gift monthly. You can manage or cancel recurring donations at any time by emailing info@sams-usa.net
6. Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes. You will receive an email confirmation immediately after donating, and an annual tax statement will be sent each January.
7. Do you accept matching gifts?
Yes. Please check here to see if your employer will match your donation. Our Combined Federal Campaign ID is 25147
8. What is your refund policy for donations?
If you believe your donation was made in error, please email info@sams-usa.net within 30 days for a refund.
9. Can I donate in honor or memory of someone?
Yes, you can dedicate your donation. Include a note in the online comments and we can email the honoree. If you mail in your donation, please include a note with this information.
10. Do you accept gift- in-kind donations like medical supplies or equipment?
Yes. Please email gik@sams-usa.net to discuss the type and condition of the items, as we have specific guidelines for in-kind contributions.
11. Can I mail my donation instead of giving online?
Yes! Please mail your check or money order to: SAMS Foundation PO Box 34115 Washington, DC 20043. Please include your full contact information and include a note if you would like your donation directed toward a specific program.
Courier services (FedEx, UPS, DHL) do not deliver to PO Boxes. If you are sending your check via courier, please use our physical address, SAMS Foundation 1012 14th St NW Ste 800 Washington, DC 20005. For donor support, please email info@sams-usa.net
